Project Execution Manager   Scope of the project: To identify and procure a global webcasting and video on demand solution for the company to support internally hosted events.  Various departments including Corporate Communications have requested webcasting and video streaming services from IT.  These groups include Commercial and Strategy.  Also the desired solution would be SaaS based for ease of support and deployment across the company.  
  • Additional impact of not doing or postponing the project – Webcasting events at locations without a solution would continue to identify separate solutions or do without webcasting and video on demand for these events.  
  Concept   This project will identify and implement a global webcasting and video on demand service to be leveraged across the globe.
  • Description of the Solution – The solution will be a cloud based (SaaS) webcasting and video on demand service that can be leveraged across the globe. 
  • Deliverables – Complete RFP for vendor section, finalize contract, implement infrastructure and make configuration changes required to improve live and video streaming services, identify operations and support model, admin and user training   and complete service integration activities.
  • To identify a global webcasting (live streaming) and video on demand service (The new service should be SaaS based)
  • This new service will provide adequate security controls as defined by  IT security
  • This new service will integrate with the new internal web portal
  • This new service will provide a solution that supports the Company’s network infrastructure
  • To identify a support model between IT and consumers of the new service
  The Role Involves:
  • Manage the execution /rollout as a project manager (planning of all tasks, progress verification, manage dependencies to other IT teams or organizational topics, organize/manage infrastructure topics as ordering of infrastructure components, planning of testing together with test management, plan deployment of applications, post-warranty phase, handover to support organization and organization rollouts)
  • Ensure that planned scope will be delivered in time, quality and costs
  • Responsible for project reporting. Production of project reporting on various levels to make sure that project state is delivered in right way to the various boards and management groups
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to make sure that stakeholder expectation is covered. Currently three different sponsors are part of this program
  • Member of stakeholder boards including senior management reporting
  • At least five years’ experience working as an IT project manager within  large projects
  • Experience how to manage  a webcasting (live streaming) and video platform rollout
  • Strong communication skills and experience around stakeholder management and communication with senior management as part of stakeholder boards
