A new exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a new project within the controlling department of the oldest pharmaceutical company in the world!

You will be supporting Controlling department in their day-to-day activities. You will also contribute to the development of 2 SAP projects: one for our Biotech Development Center (BDC) which is currently under construction, and one for the existing manufacturing site.

Job description

• Projects:
• Provide input on all projects affecting the financial performance of the site, when necessary.
• Support large investment projects on the financial aspect.

• ACCOUNTABILITY AREA
• Provide monthly detailed analysis on the following variances (Actual vs. AOP / vs. Forecast):
• Production Volumes, Expenses, Unit Cost, CAPEX, Conversion Costs, development cost and Headcount.

• Cost Control:
• Make sure financial transactions are processed according to local & corporate procedures.
• Ensure that the accounting of expenses is in line with international accounting standards.
• Monitor and control capital expenditure and operating expenses of Process Development and Production.
• Perform the monthly closing ? variances calculation, inventory reserves, inventory value, inventory turnover, expenses, Capex and provisions.

• Reporting:
• Monthly SLT Report.
• Prepare monthly report by department
• Support SLT with financial performance matrix.
• Participate in the site budget and forecasts preparation, together with the site management.

• Formal accounting qualification
• Experience in a SAP implementation project - essential
• Experience working on a manufacturing site (preferably on pharmaceutical sites) - essential
• Expert knowledge of SAP (minimum 2 modules)
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting / budgeting and forecasting
• High adaptation to a new working environment
• Good communicator, dealing directly and efficiently with project teams and the personnel
• Fluent in French (written and spoken)
• English is an advantage
