Main Responsibilities

As a part of the global planning team, you will support distribution planning, inventory and analytics. You will facilitate the balancing of demand with supply to offer the best product availability. You will consider supply constraints upstream translating into a communication to our regional team.

This position is a Global & cross-functional role in driving PLAN performance to a higher level. Further, it supports the maintenance, design and improvement of the supply chain reporting landscape.

  • Drive distribution center inventory optimization and improve inventory visibility
  • Gather supply upstream visibility, translate it and manage communication with our customers managing ATP
  • Coordinate meetings with regional planning team to resolve SKUs impacting on backorders, delayed capital expenditures (Investment sets) and supply reliability towards forecast
  • Provide supply feedback for events such as tenders, inventory build-ups, planned and unplanned sales campaigns, according to Inventory level and according to Forecast, and other drivers
  • Tracking of events such as Tenders, Inventory build-ups until completion
  • Challenge the demand signal and maximize alignment of orders according to forecast
  • Support regulatory requests towards customers requiring specific Date of Manufacturing (DOM)
  • Support product lifecycle management activities impacting distribution (New product Introductions and phase out)
  • Own global performance metrics (backorders, set deployment, OTIF, Ageing Order Management and inventory targets)
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, S&OP and work instructions robustness
  • Maintain & build value added analytics to support the global S&OP planning process
  • Support the Global DRP (Distribution Resource Planning) replenishment planning strategy and allocation logic (FIFO, fairshare, manual)
  • Provide support in ERP system (SAP)


Who we are looking for

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • An advanced degree in planning, statistics, engineering or information technology is preferred
  • 4-6 years of professional work experience in planning (demand, supply, inventory)
  • Excellent understanding of ERP systems (SAP) is a must
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Point required
  • Tableau, Alteryx, Access plus SQL is an asset
  • Experience with advanced planning tools (OMP, Kinaxis, APO) is preferred
  • Proficient Communication Skills
  • Ability to influence colleagues within the organization by using effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships, considering diverse perspectives & different styles
  • Interest in global supply chains and the medical devices industry
  • Excellent command of English is required
