For one of the renowned companies national and international, we are looking for an experienced Senior Controller for their offices in Winterthur. 

You will report directly to the Head Strategic Finance. You will also be the Finance Business Partner for the divisional Technology and R&D activities as well as the Upstream System Business in Switzerland, Netherlands and Norway, and drive global strategic finance initiatives. You will work closely with the local teams, the regional Heads of Finance and the Division CFO. 


Your responsibilities as Finance Business Partner:

  • Establish financial plans, budgets and financial KPIs. Cascade cohesive objectives and target-setting across organization backed up by clear accountability and structured management framework
  • Partner with leaders to drive achievement of operational and financial targets. Facilitate efficient resource allocation to ensure execution per plan
  • Set up and drive performance controlling routines. Institutionalize good quality forecasting and early warning processes. Ensure timely intervention and response plan in event of slippages
  • Ensure on-time processing of closing routines and deliver performance reporting and management communication
  • Ensure performance is underpinned by fulfilment of internal guidelines and external regulatory rules (e.g. accounting, tax, treasury, legal)
  • Foster strong performance culture, develop capabilities, and promote collaborative engagement within division and with other units


Your responibilities as Strategic Finance Initiatives: 

  • Drive cash forecasting & net working capital management improvement initiative, owning drum-beat and enforcing strong cash culture across the division
  • Own or drive representation of finance interests in global divisional improvement initiatives such as cost accounting and hourly rates harmonization, implementation of project controlling enhancements in SAP ERP / QlikView and quotation tool implementation for service business  


Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • > 8 years of work experience in finance/controlling, preferably in an international industrial company
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives, independently and against tight timelines
  • Highly developed skills in management reporting, application of accounting principles, value based decision making and internal control
  • Advanced financial modelling skills (Excel) and strong knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Excellent user skills and understanding of SAP-ERP, knowledge of BI tools advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytically strong person with high energy to drive for result
  • A flexible and adaptive team player with a positive attitude and high integrity
