Actelion is a leader in the field of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The portfolio of PAH treatments covers the spectrum of disease, from WHO Functional Class (FC) II through to FC IV, with oral, inhaled and intravenous medications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the Principal company financials, including complex transactions
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes for entities in scope, including alignments between the different SAP systems
  • Play an active role within the deployment of a new ERP (SAP) and related processes
  • Perform analytical account reviews and ensure compliance with Group requirements
  • Maintain and review role, user setup and trial balance proof before Group reporting and account reconciliation in Blackline
  • Identify and record temporary and permanent differences between US-GAAP and CH statutory books
  • Perform legal entity reporting in close collaboration with the Swiss tax center
  • Coordinate walkthroughs and data collection for internal and external audits
  • Review and streamline internal processes (continuous improvements)
  • Perform annual review and analysis of approval thresholds, document type analysis and critical accounts assessment
  • Coordinate record retention within Finance
  • Partner with R&D organization for actual cycles and ensure alignment
  • Establish strong collaboration and alignment with all relevant stakeholders COEs


Who we are looking for

  • Swiss commercial education with further education in Finance (eidg. Diplom) or University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ years finance/accounting experience, including analysis, process improvements, tax
  • Good team player, open communication, both verbally and in writing
  • Customer focused and ability to build strong collaboration
  • Ability to work pro-actively, independently
  • Pro-active, flexible, stress resistant, accurate and results oriented
  • Takes personal ownership and full accountability for results
  • Sense of urgency and ability to take appropriate action
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, reporting systems and knowledge of SAP
  • Fluent in English
