As part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, Actelion is working to create a world without disease. Actelion is a leader in the field of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The portfolio of PAH treatments covers the spectrum of disease, from WHO Functional Class (FC) II through to FC IV, with oral, inhaled and intravenous medications.

The Senior Financial Analyst will join the controlling team which has the following main responsibilities:

  • Integration cost budgeting and actual tracking
  • Control of the Actelion Principal Company key financials: Revenue, OPEX, CAPEX, Inventory
  • Prepare/present diligent analytics on variances vs budget and lead meaningful conversations with budget owners and Senior Leaders to ensure transparency and alignment to business strategies and goals
  • Ensure compliance with finance accounting policies & internal controls, support internal/external audit cycles as needed
  • Lead the ongoing forecasting cycles, e.g. Business Plan, Long Term Financial Plan through engagement with key business partners, providing templates, data analysis and consolidating
  • Lead the financial reporting process fulfilling the requirements accurately and timely
  • Maintain/Update the financial structure in the local systems so it remains up to date serving the business needs
  • Support the deployment of new technology solutions and financial procedures
  • Identify executional improvement initiatives and apply technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes

qualification

Who we are looking for:

  • University degree (Master/Bachelor) in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent, Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CIMA or other) is preferred
  • Experience in finance/accounting, including business planning, reporting, and analysis
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and to master changes in a complex and dynamic business environment
  • Proactive, flexible, stress resistant, accurate and results oriented
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; self-awareness and resourcefulness
  • Takes personal ownership and full accountability for results
  • Capable of strong prioritization and acting with a sense of urgency
  • Proficiency with MS Office, knowledge of SAP & advanced digital tools (Power BI, Alteryx) is a plus
  • Fluent in English (oral & written)
