For our prestigious client, leader in industrial contest, a multinational company with over 500 employees, we are looking for a:


Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the ideal candidate has at least 8 years' previous experience in HSE with increasing responsibility in a manufacturing environment.

Working with local leadership team, the EHS & Sustainability Manager develops and implement environmental, health, safety and sustainability programs to maintain compliance improve performance and drive company sustainability initiatives.

The role will be responsible for all EHS aspects, ensuring that the facilities (3 swiss legal entities), processes and procedures comply with local EHS regulations, as well as internal EHS standards.

He/she will:

  • Work with the leadership team and employees to promote and support a positive and proactive environment, health and safety culture within the organization.

  • Ensure compliance with existing and upcoming Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.

  • Establish and maintain an effective EHS training programs at all levels of the business.

  • Engage external consultants, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies to address site compliance issues and lead/direct resolution activities.

  • Liase with the Swiss and other regulatory authorities on all EHS matters.

  • Manage EHS any associated activities (including Employee Safety Representatives, Security, First Aid and Fire Teams). Point of contact for the Security provider.

  • Manage company's audit programs.

  • Drive environmental & sustainability programs.

  • Ensure monthly reporting and site performance of EHS KPIs

  • Manage EHS tools/software, communication, and record management systems

  • Sponsor the corporate initiatives for new EHS regulations.


  • M.S. Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering preferred

  • At least 8 years' previous experience in ESH with increasing responsibility - in manufacturing and highly regulated environment.

  • Previous experience as EHS Manager.

  • Formally recognized EHS certification (SUVA or similar recognized certification)

  • Knowledge of current and emerging EHS legislation and best practice with knowledge of local EHS regulations (Swiss).

  • Knowledge and experience managing compliance to environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, etc.).

  • Experience in ISO 45001 implementation.

  • A proven track record of developing and implementing EHS improvements within an organization.

  • A proven ability to gain credibility with, persuade and influence senior and operational managers and other key stakeholders.

  • A proven ability to engage staff to enhance EHS performance.

  • Fluency in Italian and English

Self-driven, strong team player, innovative, strong communicator, can-do-attitude, good IT skills will complete the profile.
