Enterprise Architect

Responsibilities

  • In close collaboration with other experts in the areas of engineering, product management and service delivery, you author the vision, reference architectures and best practices which describe your domain, ensure they are widely agreed and communicated within the organisation, and facilitate alignment to them through your function as design reviewer and counsellor to service architects.
  • You are playing a fundamental role in shaping the IT Systems landscape for our client, authoring the reference architectures around all aspects of service management, including the tool set supporting the service management processes, the interfaces with a rich ecosystem of services and technical capabilities, and the connection to the customer (through GUIs and CI/CD tool chains).
  • You are faced with a broad variety of meaningful and challenging design problems that arise from the complexity and scale of the technical landscape, the dimension of the organisation, the stringent security, compliance and performance requirements characterising the branch. As part of a central function providing coherence to a decentralised service landscape, you sit in a privileged observation point, with the opportunity to gather and share knowledge and be the key facilitator to solve multi-stakeholder problems.

 

Skills / Qualifications:

  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience in IT Service Management
  • You have a solid, direct experience of tooling to support Service Management - Knowing the ServiceNow suite - and of tooling to support resource monitoring, log monitoring and event management.
  • ITIL Practitioner certified, ITIL Intermediate certification is a plus
  • ServiceNow Architecture experience
  • Solid process and data modelling experience (tools and methods) with a good understanding of CMDB design
  • Good understanding of the state of the art in technology and operational practices in the area, standards and industry best practices (e.g. SOA, virtual data centre, hyper-converged infrastructure, containerisation, public cloud and infrastructure-as-code, certified in ITIL framework, TOGAF)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, who is passionate about solving large-scale problems in cooperation with similarly minded peers
  • Experience in a large organisation and with a focus on infrastructure
  • You own at least a M.Sc. in computer science or other comparable discipline
