On behalf of our estimated Client, important company in IT sector, we are currently looking for an UNIX/AIX Engineer.


• Engineer solutions for deployment, performance management, and maintenance of AIX based systems with an emphasis on quality of design that is efficient, usable, maintainable, and extensible

• Participate in an energetic and active group environment. This means: present ideas for review by a team of peers, seek ideal solutions through evaluation of merit, and achieve consensus on the final design.

• Installation, configuration, and administration, of IBM WebSphere or Open Liberty (and related) middleware products.

• Support for business application life cycle including packaging, deployment and support for various test and production environments.

• Excellent programming skills in ksh, Perl and the ability to maintain existing solutions written in this shell/language.

• A deep understanding of Unix concepts to include performance considerations of each subsystem


What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience in engineering and administration of large UNIX environments (AIX 7).

• Effective TCP/IP / AIX / Unix networking skills.

• Extensive "hands-on" infrastructure technology experience with focus on Systems Engineering, problem determination and resolution on Power7/8 hardware.

• A strong understanding of application development techniques and experience developing web-based applications in a modern development language (i.e. Java, .NET, Python, etc.)

• The ability to develop and maintain existing Korn shell scripts.

• Exposure and grasp of C, Python and Perl

• Familiar with kdb, truss, trace, and tcpdump.

• Language ? Italian Bilingual/Native & English B1

• Willingness to travel within Europe as needed
