job description

MAIN TASKS:
  • Responsible for the execution and delivery of multiple activities linked to DSP development in line with expected such as: Buffer Preparation for own project or to support others; Column Packing for own project or to support others; Equipment preparation, monitoring, calibration and safety; Preparing/Running/Cleaning FPLC equipment, execution of simple chromatography; Preparing/Running/Cleaning TFF equipment; Execution of basic filtration operations.
  • Support and contribute to day to day running of work environment (ordering/delivery of items, waste, etc.);
  • 6S team member or 6S area owner;
  • Undertake activities that contribute to the running of the department e.g. equipment ownership and maintenance;
  • Perform basic data analysis and interpretation (e.g. pass/fail determination);
  • Participate in equipment’s maintenance and troubleshooting;
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support other activities within the team/department.
PROFILE:
  • Technical degree in biotech process sciences or similar field (PhD and masters degree candidates will not be considered for this role as they will be overqualifed)
  • Fluency in French essential, English would be an asset.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in Pharma/Biotech/Biosimilars Industry with demonstrated track record in Downstream processing for biologics;
  • Proficient with standard software – Microsoft suite (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note, Outlook), file systems and browsers. Experience in the use of an eLN software would be an asset;
  • Basic knowledge of routines in the laboratory environment gained through formal training or long experience.
