You are familiar with all aspects of the Procurement department, with the ability to work target oriented, focused with a hands on mentality. You feel comfortable in a multicultural and fast phased organization and want to Lead a successful strategy along with a strong team. This role is responsible for establishing and leading the procurement support within components in LKQ Europe.

Main Tasks:

  • Definition of strategic agenda and key criteria for Components suppliers and supplier development based on overall LKQ and Components strategy
  • Definition of make-or-buy guidelines for Components products (in alignment with Components TCC)
  • Direction and sign-off of supplier selection processes, standards, best practices and KPIs within Components
  • Direction and sign-off of supplier development processes, standards, best practices and KPIs within Components
  • Driving capability build-up within Components procurement support unit (e.g., trainings, external hires)
  • Coordination with key stakeholders on Components supplier topics (e.g., selection criteria, new requirements)
  • Provision of guidance and support to Components procurement support department leads (incl. issue resolution)
  • Development of a motivated and effective team of professionals with the Components quality department
  • Effective leadership across organizational boundaries to ensure optimal business decisions, effective execution and promotion of people

Key Decision Rights:

  • Overarching strategy for Components procurement
  • Sign-off new Components suppliers and phase-out of existing Components suppliers
  • Components supplier selection processes, standards, best practices and KPIs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and management of Components procurement support unit
  • Strategic agenda for Components supplier selection and development
  • Ensuring effective Components supplier selection processes, standards, best practices and KPIs
  • Oversee supplier selection & development
  • Alignment with key internal stakeholders

qualification

Key and Desired Skills:

  • Business or technical University degree
  • Experience in IAM supplier identification and development
  • Experience in automotive and IAM spare part business
  • Strong understanding of supplier qualification, selection and negotiation
  • Sound experience in team leadership coordinating several subunits
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • High flexibility and able to manage multiple tasks, being target oriented and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse, high paced environment
  • Fluent English
