Our client, an international pharmaceutical company in Zug, is currently looking for a Senior Buyer.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible to manage client's external manufacturers on a day to day purpose, to ensure flawless supply of products to market

  • Own relationship with medium complexity suppliers: Monitor performance, develop and lead regular performance reviews (CS&OP, CIP execution, QBR, Planning, Quality reviews, etc.), oversee product tech transfers and decommissioning of sites, engage suppliers in lean process improvements and manage operations via virtual plant management

  • Conduct cost improvement ideation sessions with medium complexity suppliers. Develop the vision, strategy and implementation plan to deliver the maximum value for the client

  • Partner with internal stake holders (quality, planning, finance, product management) to continuously improve the performance of the external manufacturers

  • Identify potential Quality/Regulatory, Technical and/or Supply Chain challenges. Work with key internal stakeholders and EM sites to resolve

  • Represent Strategic Procurement in global decision making teams

qualification

Required skills:

  • Bachelor or Equivalent preferably in the field of natural sciences, or engineering

  • Experience experience in MD, Pharm or related fields

  • Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement experience desired

  • Strong communication, influencing and collaboration skills are required

  • Able to prioritize requests, and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives when necessary

  • Ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues

  • Ability to show strategic thinking

  • Project management skills

  • Strong business acumen

  • Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information
