Randstad has 55 years of experience in the area of HR Management. Under the Randstad Inhouse Services concept, Randstad becomes a full service supplier providing consultancy to international clients.

For a temporary assignment to support the Finance Department of our client, the company Philip Morris SA, based in Lausanne, we are seeking for a:

Planning Analyst 100% (open-ended temporary assignment)

The opportunity:

In this exciting challenge you will perform the analysis of the external competitive and market environments as well as internal business opportunities; you will also provide on-going input and support to PM Switzerland?s executional goals and reporting obligations.

Moreover you will manage and maintain the global reporting environments that support the Actual and Budget processes and assist in the preparation of the company?s business plan, annual budgets and revised forecasts.

This position will reporting to the Manager Business Development & Planning CH.

The tasks:

1) Operating environment

- Collect, coordinate, maintain and appraise business data and market information to ensure that analysis, reporting and proposals are accurate and timely

- Maintain a sharp awareness of the Swiss general business, economic, political, market and competitive environments in order to provide advisory services

2) Volume

- Ensure constant monitoring and understanding of all sales volume information (shipments, IMS, retail data, online sales)

- Manage the Global and local Business Systems, maintenance and input of product related data and volumes to assure up-to-date data alignment and accuracy for reporting and analysis purposes

- Prepare monthly Actual reporting and Rolling Forecast volume submissions, inputs/updates where needed, monthly volume summaries and analysis to be distributed to internal business partners

3) Pricing

- Track and maintain market pricing and constant monitoring of pricing developments for reporting and analysis purposes

- Ensure constant monitoring and understanding of all pricing conditions and drivers (current year impacts, annualisation, tax, etc.)

- Manage the Global and local Business systems, input of price related data to assure up-to-date data alignment and accuracy for reporting and analysis purposes

- Prepare monthly Actual reporting and Rolling forecast submissions as well as inputs/updates and reporting

- Maintain, compute and manage Domestic Pricing and Intercompany Pricing, from Price Structures to system release and communication

- Manage the pricing approval process and discount budget in close cooperation with marketing and budgeting & reporting

4) Strategic support

- Work with relevant departments in order to gather and consolidate all necessary data for the preparation of the Long Range Plan, Strategic Reviews and Annual Budget Cycles

- Liaise with the Regional Planning and Finance departments on timetables, guidelines and Global System input requirements, and with PM SA finance department on financial calculations and projections

- Gather, challenge and consolidate all necessary plan, market and budget data to effectively support the department and if required take lead in presenting results internally

 

qualification

Degree in business administration, or related field, MBA or Master's Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

-Preferably 1-2 years of Finance, Planning, Business Development or Business Support experience in an international environment

-Excellent command of English and preferably French or German (written/spoken)

-Strong knowledge of MS Office; SAP would be a plus

-Strong analytical and strategic thinking

-Good organizational and planning skills

-Good communication skills

-Fast learner, able to set priorities and take initiative
