Randstad has 55 years of experience in the area of HR Management. Under the Randstad Inhouse Services concept, Randstad becomes a full service supplier providing consultancy to international clients.

For a temporary assignment to support the Packaging Design & User Experience team of our client, the company Philip Morris, based in Lausanne, we are seeking for a:

Packaging Graphic Designer (6 months assignment)

Your creative ambition, design sensibility, and organizational skills will enable you to contribute well to the development of industry-changing packaging experiences worthy of the IQOS brand.

You will support all phases of packaging design development through to commercialization.  Working with super smart, and passionate cross-functional teams and agencies you will be inspired to push traditional boundaries of graphic design, form factors and functionalities to deliver delightful user-centered packaging experiences.

Your responsibilities:

- Under the guidance of the Director Packaging, contribute to all phases of packaging design development to support specific IQOS platform projects ? devices, consumables, accessories

- Participate in / contribute to consumer interviews, discovery sessions, brainstorms, and design thinking workshops, etc. to inform and shape packaging design project scope and for each project

- Create / co-create packaging design solutions that holistically elevate product experiences, identifying and leveraging internal and Agency expertise where necessary

- Receive / provide feedback on all design work product throughout the development and commercialization phases, acting to ensure purposeful and cohesive design expressions are delivered for IQOS

- Collaborate with internal teams (HC Marketing, Retail, Technology) and 3rd party experts to continuously evolve the on packaging pipeline

- Direct development of prototypes, and mockups with lead agencies, ensuring design concept integrity, and further elevating the design experience

- Direct operations and agency partners to ensure final packaging specifications and performance criteria are established, and adhered to, for excellent and consistent commercialization around the world

- Ensure design objective alignment and seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders and Agencies

- Deliver design work product in line with key project milestones, mindful of interdependencies, adapting and reprioritizing workflow

- Provide expert packaging guidance and support to D&UX team members, across various projects led by D&UX Platforms, Accessories, or CMF teams

qualification

- 5+ years?  creative packaging expertise evidenced by a strong client/brand design portfolio

- Bachelor / Master?s degree in Design (Graphic/Industrial) or other relevant field of study

- Understanding of design thinking principles, UX strategy and execution 

- Fluent English

- International travel (5% of time)

- Creative, entrepreneurial spirit and true passion towards packaging design

- Ability to deliver deadline-driven quality work with grace and a healthy sense of humor

- Results orientated, hands-on, can-do attitude

- Proficient with creative graphic design software

- Collaborative, team oriented
