Managing the day to day HR operations at our client (Actelion) site in Allschwil, the Inhouse HR Generalist is solely responsible for leading all HR Processes from recruitment to administration of the temporary employees based at the client site.

As part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, Actelion is working to create a world without disease. Actelion is a leader in the field of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The portfolio of PAH treatments covers the spectrum of disease, from WHO Functional Class (FC) II through to FC IV, with oral, inhaled and intravenous medications.

Inhouse HR Generalist for Actelion (Johnson & Johnson) in Allschwil

Main Responsibilities

Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding

  • Recruitment for all temporary needs at the (R&D,Clinical studies, QA, QC, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Logistics)

  • Publish vacancies on job boards, web sites and online networks

  • Evaluate job boards and talent sources

  • Sourcing candidates through identified recruiting channels (online, job fairs, active sourcing).

  • Screen applicants according to the customized client job qualifications and behavioural interviews

  • Ensure references, background checks and account compliance are in accordance with client contractual requirements

Planning, Retention and Guidance

  • HR Point of contact for temporary employees

  • Manage workforce and talent pools in a proactive manner

  • Liaise with hiring managers and HR on recruitment, performance, development, retention, training, compensation, etc.

Administration and Reporting

  • Defining HR processes between Actelion business/HR and Randstad stakeholders

  • Full HR process ownership from entry to exit of all temporary employees incl. respective administration

  • Maintaining temporary employees data in the system and the personal files of the temporary employees

  • Ensuring legal compliance and work permit validity

  • Leading the payroll process in cooperation of external payroll partner

  • Responsible for the invoicing/PO process

  • Management of the JNJ time tool system for all temporary employees in collaboration with the Johnson & Johnson Time & Attendance team

  • Collaborate with the process manager to drive innovation and work efficiency

  • Provide data that fulfil the reporting requirements

qualification

What you will need to be successful in this job:

  • A minimum of a commercial education (KV) with 2 years relevant work experience required.

  • Preferably an HR related further education

  • Work experience in a regulated environment is an advantage

  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively screen candidates to evaluate their suitability

  • Proven ability to understand candidate motivations

  • IT literate with strong interest in new technologies and proficient in the use of MS office

  • Creative and innovative thinker; Strong initiative, self-drive and motivation

  • Excellent command of English and German language is required
