For a well-known company client in the IT sector we are looking for a Financial Accountant in order to support EMEA Service Finance controllers for 3 or 4 months contract. (part-time 80%)

As a Financial Accountant iEMEA Service Finance Team, he/she will perform a variety of complex duties in general accounting (such as analyzing accounts, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and performing the monthly financial close activities), Account Payables (invoice booking and payments) and Account Receivable (invoice issuing and cash application) for 2 companies of the group.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all financial and accounting transactions e.g. accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and benefits, expenses, billing and revenue recognition

• Support monthly and quarterly closing activities as part of EMEA Service Finance team

• Be responsible for timely monthly financial statements, payments, cash-flow management and VAT submission

• Provide fluctuation analysis for assigned expense and balance sheet accounts for various comparative time periods and support EMEA Service Controller by delivering schedules and summary presentations for business decisions and ad hoc requests.

• Maintain internal control and effective accounting system

• Point of contact towards 3rd party enquiries

• Participate in non-routine projects such finance process re-engineering, cross functional projects, reconciliation issues, system implementations, etc.

qualification

  • 2-3 year working experience as an accountant with a broad range of responsibilities in a small company environment

  • Certified accountant

  • First-hand experience operating on a mid to high level accounting platform (ideally Oracle or Acumatica)

  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality

  • English and Italian speaking skills are essential; knowledge of Dutch language highly desirable

  • Good MS Office skills strong capabilities in MS Excel.

  • Able to work independently and highly meticulous. Stress-resistant and able to perform well with tight deadlines.
