Currently we are looking for a Financial Controller for a global Pharma Company, who would be responsible to manage and account Statutory and Management books with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and ensure the integrity of the Company’s accounting and reporting. Lead the audit processes and provide the required analysis and reporting to Sr. Management for decision-making. Support VP Finance on all Financial processes in a fast-growing pharmaceutical company.

 

Main Task:

  • Accounting/Audit:
    • Manage the Month End / Year End close process on a timely and accurately basis
    • Work with partners and with the Finance team to facilitate monthly journal entries
    • Analyze B/S accounts and ensure accuracy of balances. Ensure monthly analyses and reconciliations are prepared on a timely basis in accordance with the Company’s Account Control Standard to ensure the integrity of the Company’s financial statements
    • Ensure accurate and timely statements on all entities
    • Oversee subledger processes (AP, AR, Inventory, Invoicing, Cash Mgmt)
    • Lead local statutory and US GAAP Audits  
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare, oversee and distribute monthly close and BOD reports ensuring deadlines are met timely and accurately
    • Lead Local Reporting process for Statutory filing
    • Support VP Finance on Board and Financing reports
    • Support VP Finance on ad-hoc reporting requests
    • Prepare and distribute Cash Forecasts  
  • Cost Accounting / Inventory Management:
    • Work with Cost Accounting Manager on the Inventory Management and Cost Accounting process
    • Supervise accuracy of weekly and monthly Inventory related reports
    • Support Finance/SC teams on product onboarding
    • Support VP Finance on CMOs and 3PL contract management/review
    • Participate in projects designed to drive continuous improvement or operational excellence  
  • GTN:
    • Manage the Gross To Net process with the support of the GTN Manager
    • Ensure adequate reserves on all GTN accounts
    • Monitor and review contracts and charges from 3rd parties on all GTN items  
  • FP&A:
    • Support VP Finance on the Budgeting and Reforecasting processes
    • Monitor Financial Targets with close control on expenses to ensure goal achievement  
  • Finance Team:
    • Manage and supervise 3 Finance direct reports  
  • Other:
    • Manage the onboarding processes post acquisition of new businesses
    • Review and advice on Contracts/Agreements with 3rd parties
    • Provide Finance support other department heads
    • Financial lead on any company structure/tax re-organizations
    • Manage Tax and Legal requirements   
  •  Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/MBA preferred
    • 15+ years of recent experience in Accounting/Audit/Finance functions in the Pharmaceutical industry
    • Experience in Managing people
    • High degree of integrity and strong work ethics
    • Advance Excel and Powerpoint skills including modeling complex spreadsheets
    • Solid analytical and research skills with great attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to effectively resolve issues/solve problems
    • Must use sound judgment, and be self-motivated
    • Able to handle multiple priorities and set and meet deadlines
    • Small company environment – must be comfortable executing many roles
    • Experience in Internal/External Audits
    • Experience in working with Senior Management
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task
