As a Solutions Engineer you will work closely on a key product of the business. 

You'll be working with internal and external partners, gain deep technical knowledge of the travel industry, and learn the ins and outs of schedules, pricing, availability and fares! (which means cheaper flights for you and whomever you decide to share your new found skills with ... maybe me?)

Our client is a well thought of name in the tech world and they have a multitude of products. This particular product however is less established then some of the companies others and you will have a big hand in developing and implementing it, along with best practice, which will ultimately lead to your ideas being seen and used by millions. This is the kind of role which makes me wish I studied harder at school.

You will lead implementation reviews, develop solutions for customers, champion new product features and help define the strategic partner support roadmap for the future.

Role

  • Analyse pricing data and find, then develop, solutions to any issues you may find.
  • Work directly with external partners to obtain data, share ideas, and understand the travel industry, this will enable you to build very fitting solutions
  • Support integrations with partners and, as the product grows, automate to allow integrations to grow to scale
  • Consult with partners to identify needs and develop approaches to identifying and improving the quality of their data.
  • Develop best practice for this product and its development, ultimately your best practice solutions will be rolled out globally.

Skill/Experience/Education

  • Experience developing with Java/C++
  • Experience with development of tools for the travel industry is a plus.
  • Don't be afraid to voice ideas, share them with the world (or at least the Product Owners).
  • Solid customer facing experience in project based work.
  • Experience with troubleshooting for tech support and project management experience would be an advantage.
