Pre Clinical Project Manager

Location: Neuchâtel, Switzerland

Contract: 1 year with an possibility of extension

Start Date: asap

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the assigned projects, utilizing and adhering to Project Management best practices to ensure successful completion of projects
  • Lead pre-clinical outsourcing efforts from supplier selection to contracts establishment, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, Procurement, Legal and Finance representatives
  • Ensure measures are taken in projects to increase quality and mitigate risk, manage scope change and expectation, including risk analyses, impact assessment and financial analysis
  • Drive communication and co-ordination for the success of the projects and submit/present project status reports and other project information to project stakeholders, the Program Office team and Senior Management on a regular basis and as requested
  • Communicate with customers on an ongoing basis (stakeholder management) to review project requests, assess project scope, facilitate project prioritization, solidify project requirements, manage resources, provide status updates, and plan, schedule and coordinate project tasks and deliverables
  • Coordinate inter-dependencies between projects, studies, and other programs to guarantee optimal use of resources and timely completion of deliverables for other programs.
  • Ensure measures are taken in projects to increase quality and mitigate risk, manage scope change and expectations, including risk analyses, impact assessment, requirements assessment, financial analysis, requirements sign off, test planning and execution
  • Efficiently communicate between involved teams and the project stakeholders for the success of the projects and submit/present project status updates to other team members when requested.
  • Ensure development and distribution of quality project-related documentation to all interested parties, including project plan and schedule, project charter, business case, RACI table, etc.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Master’s Degree in Life Sciences (PhD is a plus)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification is required
  • Substantial experience in multinational Life Sciences, Food, Pharmaceuticals or Tobacco companies
  • Proven experience in project management and in managing global/large scale projects
  • Experience in Contract management, Procurement and Financial policies/systems
  • Previous proven team management experience, during challenging projects within short timelines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (MS-Project and Excel in particular)
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
