To join our multinational biotechnology client, we are currently actively looking for a

Sr Associate, Grants Management and Strategic Giving 

Location: Baar, Switzerland Contract: 6 months with possibility of extension

Start date: as soon as possible

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the execution of the overall giving and grant-making strategy building towards an assigned portfolio of Therapeutic Area(s).
  • Evaluate CME provider capabilities, provide support for the Grant Review Committees, prepare funding recommendations, and facilitate decision-making across therapeutic areas in alignment with the grant strategy.
  • Co-chair the applicable Review Committees for his/her assigned portfolio, preparing funding recommendations and facilitating decision-making in alignment with company strategy.
  • Responsible for the final review of all requests prior to committee review; review, identify, mitigate and escalate risks and issues as needed
  • Partner with GMSG Team members to effectively and efficiently manage the overall portfolio from a transactional/operational perspective
  • Provide support/assistance to external users of supportive technology

?Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in Medical Education, Philanthropy, Grant-making specific to Healthcare or Life Sciences – Non-profit or industry.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in strategy development, biotechnology, business development and/or business or legalrelated field 
  • Strong Knowledge of and ability to apply PhRMA, ACCME, OIG guidelines
  • Able to make funding recommendations based giving strategy, policies and procedures and local laws and regulations
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • A proven record of success within a matrixed organization; working effectively with cross functional teams
  • High degree of self-motivation and enthusiasm to carve out role and pro-actively engage with internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and be detail-oriented.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA strongly preferred.
