Our client, a major actor in the life sciences industry and based in the Lausanne area is looking for a:

A Laboratory Technician Microbiology 

(temporary role to start ASAP until end of September 2021)

For this role, you can work part-time between 80% to 100% 

You will be primarily responsible to perform routine testing such as LAL, environmental monitoring, bioburden and other tests as assigned and to accurately document test results. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Performs routine tests in accordance with established procedures and documents the results on standard forms. When routine tests are performed in a non-standard way, the Technician must follow the special instructions and document the deviation from established procedures.

  • Manage a stock of microbio consumables.

  • Carry out environmental monitoring:- Sampling of non-viable, viable in the air and on the surface- Sampling of viable in compressed air- Bioburden and endotoxin water sampling and testing- Water sampling

  • Gives opinions and interpretations to laboratory customers on data generated in the laboratory.

  • Other duties as assigned, such as: approving test reports, lab cleaning/organizing, media preparation and dishwashing.

  • Treats the nonconformities related to the LAL, environmental monitoring, bioburden and other tests. 

Your profile: 

  • Technical degree in microbiology 

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical or medical devices industry

  • Fluent in French and English

  • Autonomous

  • Conscientious and rigorous

  • Dynamic and positive attitude
