R&D Project Manager (m/f/d) - Power Electronics

Are you ready to take the lead in pioneering projects that redefine the landscape of Medium Voltage converters? Join our client's R&D Power Electronics competence center in Turgi, Switzerland, as an R&D Project Manager (m/f/d). In this dynamic role, you will drive development projects, overseeing control software, hardware, and test infrastructure development within the System Drives division.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Take accountability for planning, coordination, and successful delivery of work packages in R&D projects.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources, proactively addressing bottlenecks.
  • Analyze budget and estimates, monitoring progress, costs, financials, and quality.
  • Clarify requirements in the backlog for execution by the development team.
  • Proactively identify and remove barriers to execution.
  • Provide regular transparent communication to stakeholders on progress and issues.
  • Lead and motivate resources to achieve tasks and milestones.

Your Background:
  • Professional experience: 5 to 7 years, with a background in engineering or related fields.
  • Significant experience in project management or leading technical teams.
  • University degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a software product owner for embedded system projects is advantageous.
  • Strong collaboration skills in a multi-site and multi-functional environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • High level of personal integrity.
  • Experience with drive systems is a plus.

Additional Information:
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Until the end of 2024 (possible extension)
  • Workload: 100%
  • Hybrid Work: Possible after initial on-site ramp-up (60-70% home office)
