Solution Architect.

As Global Solution Architect, you will be providing architectural strategy and vision across various systems, services, and solutions within the organization. In particular, your focus area will be around leading the architecture of end-to-end ecosystems and platforms that are enabling solutions and services for various business units.

Together with dedicated product architects, you will champion and advocate architectural designs, development, and DevOps practices, including but not limited to: design patterns and principles, technical stack and tooling standardization, technology watch, fit-for-purpose bluebooks, information security models, core services consolidation, enterprise integration, testing, release and deployment pipeline strategies.

You will interact also with engineering teams, product/program management teams, and stakeholders to provide technical alignment and actively participate in the development of architectural roadmaps. The initial focus in this role is on cloud solutions but will evolve to include mobile, firmware, and cryptographic architectures.

You will be reporting directly to the VP of engineering in a global role.

YOUR MISSION

• Guide product solutions architects to align vertical-specific solutions and components with the overall vision and strategy of scalable and efficient ecosystems in the portfolio.
• Participate in and provide governance for design reviews with the engineering teams.
• Lead development committees across the engineering organization in collaboration with central R&D to ensure best practices and maximize knowledge sharing and standardization of infrastructure, tools, compliances, and processes.
• Identify and consolidate common services and components to avoid duplication of effort across the business units and drive reuse and economies of scale.
• Contribute pro-actively with business development teams to the definition of new value-add solutions that support the company's ambition to grow as a solution enablement leader in the RFID space.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, IT, end-users, and business leadership teams to understand requirements and solution context.
• Coordinate and support technology implementations between teams and products or services.
• Drive and support continuous improvement and other agile practices. Identify and reduce inter-team dependencies through carefully considered technology stacks and APIs.
• Interact with other global engineering and senior leadership functions.

 

YOUR PROFILE

• Education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Ten years of professional experience in product design system and solution development.
• Demonstratable AWS cloud development experience, with a focus on large-scale solutions.
• Demonstratable experience in the creation of specifications for communications, data persistence layers, service-orientated architectures, and other technology stack building blocks.
• Demonstratable ability to achieve desired outcomes when collaborating with external stakeholders.
• Excellent presenting, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Engaging personnality.
• Ability to see through end-to-end systems to identify strengths and weaknesses.
• Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, firmware, software, and networks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Experience with identity management and applied cryptography would be advantageous.
• Fluent in English.
