For our estimated client, multinational company operating in the chemical industry, we are currently looking at a Process Development Engineer, due to its overall expansion in Sopraceneri. This figure will be responsible of new processes development and sustainable performance optimization of thermal and mechanical processes, in coordination with the plant.

The specific tasks will be as follows:

  • Process-trouble- shooting as well as process automation in close cooperation with the plant and the Engineering department, focusing on permanent plant performance and process optimization in the plant
  • Systematically perform measurements for all relevant equipment and thermal and mechanical processes in order to access their efficiency and state
  • Establish, implement, organize or make follow up of tools or procedures for continuous process control and optimization
  • New processes, equipment or installations/CAPEX
  • Participation and contribution on relevant events and meetings e.g.:
    • Projects team meetings
    • technical development programs
    • technical meetings
    • working groups
    • technical trainingTraining for production personnel :contributes to process topics and participates on programs, prepares training material
  • Guarantees and fosters compliance with EHS policies. Establishes safety culture and tackles specific actions to ensure health and safety prevention during all activities


Professional Education and Know-How:

  • Graduated engineer (Process, Mechanical, Chemical), or equivalent
  • Practical experience in the field of inorganic chemistry
  • Consolidated knowledge of the manufacturing processes and of the related typology of equipment as well as of mechanical and thermal technologies with the applicable methods (2-3 years experience)
  • Experience and know-how in the areas of process optimization instrumentation, measuring and control systems
  • Good know-how and practice of IT application (Supervision systems, Excel)
  • Languages: Italian and English mandatory, German and French appreciated

Supplementary Know-How and Capabilities:

  • Communicative personality with strong analytical ability
  • Successful experience in leading projects and teams
  • Very good knowledge of MS-Office programs
  • Knows fundamentals of inorganic chemistry and the main analytical methods
