IT Support Specialist

One of our clients, an engineering company specialising in unmanned aircraft systems, is looking for an IT Support Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for the full spectrum of IT support, meaning you will manage client technical assistance to employees,  contractors, and guests at their primary facility and remote support for users located at other offices, or offsite locations.

Responsibilities

 

  • You need to prioritise your work efficiently in order to meet level of service deadlines
  • You will manage help requests from the field from end users via both telephone and email
  • You will escalate  problems (when required) to the next tier of support
  • You will focus on data security, following compliance requirements, company policies, and industry best practices
  • You will identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
  • You will support audio visual systems in conference and multi-purpose rooms for scheduled meetings and events
  • You will perform hands-on maintenance and support at the workstation level, to include: hardware and software technical issue resolution, software installations and upgrades, file backup and restoration activities, and vulnerability mitigation
  • You will configure new systems and replace legacy systems as business requirements dictate
  • You will administer domain security policies, i.e. account creation, assign access permissions, and OU placement

Minimum requirements

As an IT Support Specialist you must have demonstrable experience supporting the following:

  • Microsoft Windows workstations in an enterprise domain environment
  • Linux Administration Support 
  • Microsoft Office 365 support
  • Malware mitigation / removal
  • Experience troubleshooting basic network connectivity issues
  • Experience utilizing remote support tools
