For our client, an international and strongly growing company in the FMCG sector, we are seeking to recruit a Cost Controller

 

In this position you will:

- Mainly support the senior mgmt. by assisting with the projection of spending, reporting results and analysing variances versus outcome. Main focus on IT and CFO / Corporate cost centres (all global cost centers excluding the Commercial Division) with support of the remaining senior mgmt. cost centres

 

This consists of the following tasks:

1) Analyisis and explanaition of actual spending vs. budget and forecast of the coporate cost centres (main focus on IT and CFO / Corporate cost centre, and senior mgmt. cost centres). Measuring the underlying parameters and indicating necessary actions where needed.

2) Ensure accurate cost recognition and reporting.

3) Offering advice to senior management and other stakeholders in all expense related Cost Controlling topics.

4) Acting as a key contact and subject matter expert for all expense related requests. Preparation of high-level and high quality analysis for an enhanced understanding of the cost basis and their drivers.

5) Involvements in projects and process enhancements.

6) Support cost centre owners in the annual target and forecast process.

7) Assisting group reporting team with monthly closings (review of invoicing or allocation of monthly recharges and related closing tasks).

8) Undertake ad-hoc exercises and analysis as requested by senior management.

 

The optimal candidate we are looking for: 

  • A university degree or an equivalent educational background
  • At least several years experience in an cost controlling enviroment
  • Experience in a conglomerate group or multinational business
  • Fluent in English; all other languages would be an added advantage.
  • International mindset
     
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player
  • Strong sense of ownership, works independently and takes initiatives
  • Good knowledge in MS Office tools, particularly Excel
  • Affinity to IT
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, problem solving skills and critical thinking
  • The person should be stress tolerant, handle confidentiality in a professional way.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and often demanding environment
  • ?Ability to multi-task and prioritize
