Trainee Corporate Controller (English speaking)

For my client's Consolidation & Reporting department in Finance, I am looking for a Trainee Corporate Controller to be based in Zurich, Switzerland. The duration of the contract will be 12 months. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Support the Consolidation & Financial reporting team during monthly closing process, forecast and mid-term plan

    • Conduct various analysis to ensure the correctness of the financial reporting packages and the consolidated numbers

    • Update the FX-rate table in the consolidation system

    • Issue several reports for the consolidation booklet (net working capital, invested capital) during quarterly closing

  • Contribute to the external quarterly reporting in accordance with IFRS and SIX exchange regulations

    • Maintain and update the excel files used for the production of the external report

    • Prepare and provide documentation of several notes of the financial statements for various stakeholders including auditors

    • Cooperate with the communication agency and work on the publishing platform

  • Contribute to internal projects and various ad-hoc requests

    • Test the improvements of the consolidation software (SAP FC) and the reporting tools (BW)

    • Ensure correct computation and calculation of various performance indicators


Knowledge and skills:
Bachelor degree in accountancy/audit/controlling
Knowledge in accounting, external / internal audit or international controlling
Consolidation know-how, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
MS Office (SAP FC and BW would be an advantage)
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
Business and financial acumen
