HR Director Switzerland


We are addressing this exciting opportunity to experienced HR professionals exhibiting intellectual strength and excellence in execution, with a track record of driving a high performance culture while achieving best in class HR standards. The ideal candidate is autonomous in nature and brings a high passion for leadership and hands on delivery, from concept to execution, in a large international corporate environment. You are close to the business and thrive in a deadline driven environment, balancing multiple stakeholders both locally and at holding level. Innovation comes naturally to you and you are decisive in your judgment, feeling at ease with influencing decision making at senior management level.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as the face of HR for the company
  • Responsible for senior level decision making and both day to day management and strategic direction of the organisation
  • Defining, proposing and implementing the HR strategy and policy
  • Responsible for leading the HR Team to define and deliver future Human Resources needs of the organisation from local market perspectives
  • Responsible for driving his/her team in partnering with the operational managers to deliver the business strategy and objectives
  • Working in partnership with business areas in providing an outstanding HR service that is customer focused and drives improved organisational performance
  • Be a strategic and active member of the local management team in order to deliver the business objectives through business focused people initiative and solutions
  • Act as a senior member of the HR community to develop a drive forwards the corporate HR vision


Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a large company, ideally in a management function
  • Previously influenced senior managers, built strong commercial relationships and drove an HR strategy
  • Demonstrable maturity, professionalism and gravitas
  • Act as a role model for the organization looks beyond own team as a role model and source of knowledge.
  • Able to adapt to changing conditions
  • Ability to generate effective solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented
  • Demonstrate an understanding of personalities and behavioural styles in order to work collaboratively with a variety of people and to make informed decision around resourcing, reporting structures and relationships
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and the ability to apply to a variety of situations using a common sense approach
  • Able to problem solve both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach
  • Effectively plans ahead to anticipate problems, plans for worst-case and best-case scenarios
  • Demonstrates passion - approaches all tasks in an enthusiastic way. Committed to upholding professional standards
  • Displays integrity - is sincere in own behaviour and in dealings with others
  • German, French & English (spoken/written)
