Position: Interaction Designer  Duration asap until mid November 2018  Position Overview:  The  UX team is seeking an experienced interaction designer to shape and evolve our product experience. This role requires close collaboration with product managers, other designers, engineers, and researchers. You’ll be working to translate user needs and business opportunities into thoughtfully-crafted user experiences.  Top Three Daily Responsibilities 

  • Create new designs, including user flows, wireframes, mocks and prototypes. 
  • Communicate design intent to internal teams, and justify design work and advocate for users’ needs. 
  • Collaborate on a geographically distributed team of designers and researchers; explore wide-ranging options and iterate extensively based on user feedback. 
  • Deliver the designs for each release and follow through on details with the engineering team. 
  • Guide development to implement experiences on mobile, tablet and other platforms 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field or equivalent practical experience. 
  • A portfolio demonstrating a range of thoughtful designs based grounded in user-centered thinking 
  • 4 years of work experience in a related field. 
  • Proficiency using Apple platforms 
  • Able to partner with development teams in the creation of production ready assets 
  • Proficiency in Sketch 48 and/or Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Experience creating style-guides and/or design specification documents 
  • Ability to work within an established brand identity 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design principles and practices: layout, color theory, typography 
  • Strong attention to detail in all aspects of production and design 
  • Strong organization, ability to prioritize projects and manage time 
  • Communication skills: proficiency in verbal and written communication 
  • Interpersonal skills: capability to work in a team environment, meeting and collaborating with a variety of disciplines 
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Experience in designing or directing software development across web, mobile, tablet or other platforms. 
  • Experience partnering with user researchers to inform and validate designs 
  • Experience designing motion for user interfaces 
  • Knowledge of JavaScript for rapid prototyping purposes, and HTML skills
