Main Responsibilities

The Analytical Development (AD) Department is developing, transferring and validating various release, stability and product characterization test methods and is performing required degradation, API stability, characterization and comparability studies. The scope of this temporary AD (Associate) Scientist position is to support the existing molecular and biological team in various areas of activities ranging from writing of method protocols, study plans, study reports, over planning of transfer and training activities to actual hands on development work in the lab.

  • Development, transfer and qualification/validation of bio-analytical methods using mainly ELISA, protein quantification, qRT-PCR, FACS, BiaCore, SDS-PAGE/Western Blot, Dot-Blot, Threshold, mAbs screening. This includes working with DNA/RNA, proteins, from sample preparation to analysis and data treatment

  • Writing of test methods and protocols for the method in scope

  • Writing of development/qualification/validation plans and reports

  • Independent rework of experiments/analyses based on interpretations and conclusions

  • Maintenance of current laboratory equipment and operation of analytical and other instruments

  • Execution of assigned scientific experiments with low level of supervision

  • Review of scientific work in project-related fields and areas of expertise

  • Ensuring the availability of adequate laboratory materials and justification of the purchase of new materials and equipment

  • Active collaboration and interaction with various TLs, scientists and laboratory technicians


  • Scientific background with an analytical mindset for reporting, analysis and interpretation of obtained results

  • Excellent writing skills for scientifically sound technical documents, instructions, protocols and reports

  • Independent way of working and taking ownership of assigned tasks to plan and deliver according to agreed timelines

  • Your team spirit allows you to integrate into an existing team and ideally you have experience in supporting and supervising the work of laboratory technicians

  • MSc or PhD level in biology, biochemistry, or comparable. Lab experience from university curriculum and/or industry
