Laboratory Technician in Konolfingen

Our customer, Nestlé Research & Development Konolfingen, near Bern / Switzerland, is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician - Microbiology for temporary 6 Months. Activity rate 60-80%

At Nestlé Research & Development Konolfingen, near Bern / Switzerland, they develop new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of Milk and Nutrition for Nestlé worldwide. In addition, they also provide technical assistance to their factories around the world.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and perform standard microbial analyses

• Execute environmental monitoring for pathogens (pilot plant) and free chlorine in water

• Perform hygiene monitoring of laboratory surfaces, air and water used for processing

• Contribute to routine experiments/protocols related to product development projects, new method development, validation projects and technical assistance requests

• Ensure compliance with GLP and other lab standards (safety etc.)

• Assist in general GLP maintenance work and in calibration work on ICP's (i.e. balances, thermometer, autoclaves)

• Provide administration support (e.g. dispatching samples to other centers, ordering of laboratory material)

• Maintain a safe and clean work area (e.g. biosafety cabinets)

Education and experience

• Federal VET diploma as Laboratory Technician or equivalent

• Experience in analytical microbiology

• Previous experience in another laboratory or analytical environment is a plus

• Solid knowledge of English
