Symetis SA, a Boston Scientific Company, develops and produces innovative, minimally invasive heart valve replacement devices. They are today looking for a:

Manufacturing Engineer 

ROLE PURPOSE: Provides daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e. quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety). TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Support manufacturing basic daily activities and/or continuous improvement projects such as; equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis and non-conforming product evaluation. • Identifies and implements improvements (e.g., yields, processes, and productivity). • Create documentation to support new and improved manufacturing processes. • Write and perform process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPQ) and validate methods for inspection for verification and process controls. • Interface directly with operators, production supervisors, engineers and management daily

• Actively interacts with cross-functional team members, always practicing good teamwork, in support of day- to-day operating requirements.

• Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests. • Develops and maintains qualified production lines. • Trains and/or provides work direction to technicians and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation. • Interfaces with vendors, possibly physicians and other technical consultants to ensure results. • To achieve and demonstrate best practices in line with the department and site objectives. YOUR PROFILE (EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION): • Experience working in a team and being a strong team player and ability to partnering beyond the manufacturing function. • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in a similar position. • Project management experience. • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate and work with both internal and external partners.

• Able to work in an environment driven by technical excellence and highest standard of quality. • Knowledge in process excellence approach and tools (6 sigma, lean manufacturing). • Experience working for a medical devices company, in either manufacturing, product, and/or process development would be a plus. • Mater Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, Biomedical or industrial engineering. • Strong knowledge in French and English.
