For our client, a public health organization, we are looking for a: 

Technology Transfer Expert


Contract: Temporary - 1 year, with possibility of extension

Location: Geneva area

The company is currently working on a large project to cover technology transfer in biologic health products, including vaccines, initially for COVID-19 but also for other areas..


Your main responsibilities: 

  • Reporting to the Head of Technology Transfer, the main activities of the Technology Transfer Expert will be to support  in the following:

  • Supporting in technology transfer, local production in Low and low middle income countries (LMIC), the WHO/WTO initiatives on local production and in any other initiative concerning production partnerships;

  • Contribute to selecting new technology recipients;

  • Structuring and supporting the Technology or Product transfers from originators to recipient manufacturers in order to increase access of biological health products in the LMIC;

  • Product/technology evaluations, technical feasibility studies, gap assessments, and risk management of technology transfers;

  • Supporting the technology transfer in product development and validation activities, including analytical development, process scale-up, process robustness studies, product characterization, process and analytical validation, ensuring compliance to GMP standards and regulatory requirements in the industry;

  • Working with the legal team on the technical terms of in-licencing / out-licensing contracts;

  • Designing the Technology Transfer package contents and compiling the technology transfer plan together with project manager and partners;

  • Monitor project progress together with projects manager and partners;

  • Technical support to the originator and the receiving units during the technology transfer including troubleshooting;

  • Improving the visibility of the company and promoting its work on technology transfer to international partners;


Your profile:


  • Postgraduate degree in a scientific discipline relevant to health products, including biotechnology, bioproduction or pharmaceutical sciences;

  • Qualification in Biochemistry, engineering sciences and cellular biology would be an asset.

Professional experience

  • At least 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry;

  • Proven expertise in the field of technology transfer and GMP industrial manufacturing of biological products;

  • Experience in pharmaceutical production, industrialization, or process development of biologics (monoclonal antibody, recombinant protein, vaccine and/or mRNA technology) is a strong asset;

  • Experience in preparation of dossiers (CMC) for regulatory submission is an asset.


  • Fluency in professional English is required;

  • Fluency in another language is an asset.
