For our client Philip Morris SA in Neuchâtel, we are seeking a :


Logistics Senior Industrial Engineer

Permanent contract at 100%


Your tasks:


  • Define and design optimal end-to-end processes for material flow, material handling, internal transport and storage concepts for new factory development or for existing manufacturing center improvement projects
  • Develop and recommend innovative intralogistics solutions towards industry 4.0 and define potential of implementation throughout the existing worldwide manufacturing footprint
  • Demonstrate competences on automated logistics systems and assess applicability to our industry and further build up knowledge to remain on top of latest development
  • Initiate, develop, lead and coordinate or participate in industrial improvement initiatives, within multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams, to improve logistics efficiency and overall manufacturing performance
  • Establish business justification, scope and resource requirements for logistics related projects with regard to product, process, equipment, system or facility development or improvement
  • Collaborate across plant sites or functions to generate innovative solutions and ideas for technical issues and direct vendors / external resources regarding projects or technical issues and coordinate standardization in establishing logistics and material handling guidelines, relevant methods and other quality documents
  • Provide guidance / training to relevant parties to ensure appropriate technical expertise is utilized and transferred to meet resource requirements and departmental goals


  • University degree in Engineering
  • Proven experience in logistics and industrial engineering, ideally acquired within a Logistics supplier/consulting company
  • Minimum of 5 years successful experience in managing complex international projects
  • Solid background in Process Optimization and Automation, LEAN Manufacturing previous exposure is a clear plus
  • Additional knowledge in advanced technological concepts (Logistics 4.0, Smart Factory, Digital Twin, IOT, robotics) would be a strong asset
  • Strong problem solving and organizational capabilities coupled with proven leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Quick and committed learner with a pragmatic, analytical and autonomous mindset
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite (proficiency in Excel is a must)
  • Significant knowledge in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp…) and simulation tools (MATLAB, FlexSim…)
  • Fluent English is a must
