Stellenbeschreibung

Randstad has over 55 years of experience in the area of HR Management. Under the Randstad Inhouse Services concept, Randstad becomes a full service supplier providing consultancy to international clients. For a temporary assignment of our client, the company Philip Morris SA, based in Neuchâtel, we are seeking a:

 

Direct Material Buyer

Long term temporary assignment at 100%

 

Specifically, you will:

  • Contribute to the definition of global sourcing strategies based on business requirements and supply market trends to secure material availability at optimal total cost of ownership; and implement strategy in EU region
  • Manage cost for in-scope categories:
    • Support global category leader for negotiations or tenders, to ensure cost saving targets, quality standards of products and supply security are in place
    • Build a pipeline of cost optimization projects & roll-out projects in European region manufacturing centers
    • Minimize obsolescence / costs of goods destroyed
  • End-to-end performance management:
    • Manage supplier operational performance for European region manufacturing centers to improve delivery, quality, supply flexibility performance
    • Ensure contractual obligations are met (on-time payment, volume allocation as per contract) and 
    • Ensure available capacity at Vendors to absorb demand fluctuations.
  • Secure & optimize supply by defining, and adjusting to evolving business conditions, planning parameters (safety time, lot sizes, call-off strategy) for the procurement of direct materials in EU region
  • Comply with internal requirements and share expectations with key stakeholders (e.g. Finance Shared Service Center, Supply Chain shared service center) so they comply with such requirements
  • Manage compliance of categories with external regulations

Qualifikation

  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain function with exposure to a multinational environment, preferably within a FMCG company
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Fluency in English both oral and written is a must
  • Start date: As soon as possible
