Within the Johnson & Johnson Enterprise Supply Chain the Customer & Logistics Services organization is responsible for all distribution operations on a global basis and is tasked with leveraging our global logistics spend and capabilities. We do this by building and implementing distribution centers that develops a world class network of best value suppliers meeting J&J Business needs of supply quality and reliability, responsiveness, cost competitiveness and access to technology innovation that fuels superior growth.

Main Responsibilities:

As part of Customer & Logistics Services EMEA, in the CLS EMEA Strategy & Deployment Team, the Network Analyst will provide analytical and process support in regional network optimization projects by conducting analysis and building data models to support business requests, devise control plans to enable fast and reliable business decisions by management, and assist with execution of change management processed.  Responsible for system data validation, knowing where to obtain the data sources, managing specialized reporting and queries, and presenting the data in a format that allows management to make strategic decisions. Key responsibilities include:

Advanced Analytics

  • Establish what-if models and network design models that can be leveraged across various supply chain functions.  Develop end to end models considering impacts across order placement, distribution, and transportation with a keen focus on customer experience and cost.

  • Act as subject matter expert in network optimization methodology and supporting tools. Develop network models supporting various scenarios and identifies distribution network to optimize customer experience and costs.

  • Drive knowledge transfer across discipline/business partners. Proactive problem identification and solution development to a variety of problems of broad scope and complexity, referring to policies and practices for guidance.  ?

Ad hoc Business support

  • Conduct trending and analysis, data mining, validation and maintenance to generate creation of reports and scorecards aligned to business requirements/needs.

  • Presentation of data in a format that allows management to make strategic decisions; i.e., creation of an executive summary and concepts to analyze/drive process improvements as appropriate.

  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency to deliver product on time and ensures accuracy in data presented.

  • Conducts troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues using company-specific knowledge of products, processes and contacts and develops recommendations for resolution.

  • Develop automation tools for deployment within team and across supply chain

Project Management

  • Utilize project management tools to deliver results on-time and provide timely updates to management.

  • Create project scoping and specification with partners and align on business objectives and scoping for successful deployment.


  • University Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations
  • Prior placement in logistics or supply chain environment
  • Analytical and highly collaborative work abilities
  • Very good business English (Written and spoken)
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently, manage complexity and take ownership for deliverables
  • Numerate and IT literate (i.e. all MS Office applications)
  • Highly skilled in Excel and Access
  • Knowledge in Network Optimization software preferred
  • Knowledge of WMS & TMS applications preferred
