About the job:
The Investigational Medicinal Product QC (IMP QC) department is part of Synthetic Molecule Development at the Basel site. It supports the technical development of synthetic molecules, from classic new chemical entities (NCEs) to peptides and oligonucleotides, and the associated drug products.
The Drug Substance team is part of this IMP QC and is based in Basel. As a Laboratory Technician, you will make a significant contribution to the quality control of starting materials, intermediates, and active ingredients through precise GMP analyses, thus ensuring the safety of our clinical products.
Your Profile:
- Completed training as a chemical laboratory technician (EFZ, CTA, or BTA)
- 2–3 years of experience in analysis using HPLC, GC, titration, IR, UV, and wet chemical methods
- Have in-depth knowledge of Agilent HPLC systems and EMPOWER software
- Experience with GMP guidelines in a laboratory environment
- Familiar with LIMS systems
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct and document chemical analyses using various analytical methods in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Review raw data
- Document results on a PC in accordance with GMP standards and assist in the processing and documentation of deviations
- Ensure data integrity within your own work area
Must Haves:
- Completed training as a chemical laboratory technician (preferred), chemical technical assistant (CTA), or higher
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in analytical methods using HPLC, GC, titration, IR, UV, and wet chemical analysis is required. Ideally, you have experience with Agilent HPLC systems and EMPOWER software
- GMP experience in a laboratory environment is required, and hands-on experience with LIMS systems is desirable
- Fluent written and spoken English is required; German is an advantage
- Excellent teamwork skills, willingness to adapt, strong logical thinking skills, and an affinity for laboratory IT applications
