Join our team, where this critical role requires deep, specialized expertise in RFID technology combined with strong software development skills. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for RFID within the team, managing the full lifecycle of related technical projects and maintaining alignment with evolving organizational needs.

This role requires strong technical autonomy, collaboration, and proactive problem management:
• Technical Development: Independently translate product and system requirements into technical specifications. You will develop comprehensive solutions and conduct feasibility studies.
• Problem Solving & Quality: Independently perform root cause analysis for issues. Continuously optimizes processes in order to increase quality and efficiency standards. You proactively identify potential problems and propose viable solutions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Expand and maintain a network to the main stakeholders and suppliers. Serve as the technical point of contact. You will contribute to an inclusive, intercultural team by sharing ideas and actively listening to others, and possess the ability to effectively formulate and articulate concepts and problems.
• Autonomy: Able to work independently, find innovative solutions, and define, estimate, and plan work packages.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• RFID Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of RFID software development projects, including project planning, architecture design, software development, and testing.
• Testing & Evaluation: Conduct rigorous testing of RFID labels containing integrated circuits (ICs), including developing software scripts for that purpose. Test and evaluate RFID Reader Hardware, including readers, antennas, and setups.
• IP & Innovation: Conduct feasibility studies for RFID (e.g., new encryption algorithms, data architecture). Manage IP related to automation topics with a focus on RFID.
• Technology Strategy: Provide comprehensive assessment and advice on the most appropriate RFID technology.
• Knowledge Transfer: Serve as a subject matter expert, creating know-how documents and coaching team members in RFID implementation.
Must Haves:
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable technical field is preferred, or a technical or IT-related professional training with relevant work experience
• First experience with SW development for medical devices and secure coding is a plus
• Profound knowledge of programming languages and build pipelines for different operating systems
• Fluent in English
Nice to Haves:
• Programming skills with the Rust language **
• German
