Quality Control Microbiology Kaiseraugst is a team of 20 employees. It is divided into a laboratory team and a specialist team.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has completed vocational training as a biology laboratory technician or food technologist, alongside at least two years of solid practical experience in microbiological quality control, particularly in bioburden/microbial count determinations. Thanks to your routine in a GMP environment, you guarantee precise, independent documentation as well as the professional creation of SOPs to ensure the highest product quality. As a team-oriented individual, you also bring the necessary flexibility for occasional weekend shifts and fluent German skills for seamless documentation.
Tasks & responsibilities:
As a Laboratory Technician in microbiological quality control, you are responsible for performing and evaluating bioburden testing and microbial count determinations (e.g., for packaging materials, active ingredients, excipients, and products). Further areas of responsibility may follow, depending on qualifications and business needs. You will also ensure reliable and efficient execution and control of experiments for the safety of our products and ultimately for the well-being of patients.
- Performing bioburden testing for product releases
- Performing microbial count determinations for product and raw material releases
- GMP-compliant logging/documentation of work and results
- Creation and revision of GMP-relevant documents and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Reduced work hours on weekends and public holidays (approx. 1x per month)
Must Haves:
- Completed vocational training as a biology laboratory technician, food technologist, or an equivalent qualification.
- 2 years of practical experience in a microbiological environment (preferably bioburden/microbial count determination).
- 2 years of experience in a GMP environment, as well as a clean, precise, and independent way of working.
- Responsible, team-oriented, and flexible working style.
- Good PC skills (MS Office)
- Willingness to work reduced hours on weekends and public holidays (approx. 1x per month).
- Good written and spoken German language skills.
