About the job:
As part of our highly qualified Production Maintenance team, you will support the manufacturing lines of our cleanroom production (ISO Class 7). You will be the pivotal point of support for our client’s production equipment and bear direct responsibility for equipment performance. Your role: Maintenance 4.0 & Automation in a GMP environment.
Our client’s manufacturing consists of complex production lines, standalone equipment, buffer and transport units, inline measuring stations, as well as automated storage systems operated via a centralized equipment control system.
The Perfect Candidate
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Maintenance, Automation, or Process Engineering and has at least 3 years of professional experience in automation or a demanding production environment, supplemented by sound experience in technical support. As a solution-oriented individual, this person possesses a proven ability to precisely analyze and efficiently resolve complex technical issues on automated equipment. Furthermore, they are well-acquainted with the strict documentation requirements of regulated industries and have a practical routine in creating controlled documents.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Servicing: You will perform plannable activities, preventive/corrective maintenance, and calibrations on fully and semi-automated equipment, as well as on robotic and laboratory equipment.
- Process Integrity and Documentation: GMP-compliant documentation of all maintenance and modification work. You are responsible for adapting operational documents (e.g., work instructions, maintenance instructions).
- Digitalization and Optimization: Actively driving the digitalization of maintenance and identifying optimization potential to challenge existing mindsets and create new perspectives.
- Shaping the Future (Industry 4.0): Make our equipment smart. Help us become even more digital and anticipate malfunctions before they happen (Predictive Maintenance).
- Coordination and Planning: Coordination of spare parts procurement and planning of maintenance windows in alignment with production and external service providers.
- Shift and On-Call Duty: Willingness to work in a 2-shift operation and to take on occasional on-call duties on a max. of 3 weekends / year (Note: listed as 5 weekends under general info).
- Troubleshooting (approx. 30%): You are the savior in times of need, providing first- and second-level support in the event of malfunctions directly on the production and automation systems.
- GMP Compliance: You assume responsibility for the equipment life cycle and document everything in a GMP-compliant manner.
Must Haves:
- Education: Completed vocational training, Technician degree, or Bachelor's degree in the field of Maintenance, Process Engineering, Automation (e.g., Automation Technician EFZ, Mechatronics Engineer, Electronics Engineer) or comparable.
- Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in a demanding production or automation environment, as well as solid practical experience in technical support.
- Troubleshooting: Proven "go-getter" ability to quickly analyze and solve complex technical problems on automated manufacturing lines.
- GMP Mindset: You understand the importance of seamless documentation in regulated environments (Pharma, Medical Technology, Aviation, or Automotive). You have practical experience in creating controlled documents. Experience within a GMP environment is an advantage
- Logistics & Readiness: Willingness to work 2 shifts and perform occasional on-call duty. Local proximity to the workplace in Rotkreuz is an advantage. Living within a radius of 30-50 km is preferred.
- Languages: Fluent spoken and written German for precise documentation. Spoken and written English at a B2 level is an advantage.
Nice to Haves:
- Control Technology: Proficiency in PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or comparable). Programming experience in PLC is an advantage.
- Network & IT: Experience with process control systems and connecting equipment within an Industry 4.0 environment is an advantage.
- Manual/Technical Breadth: Solid knowledge of pneumatics and electrical engineering.
- Systems: Routine use of ERP systems (such as SAP) for digital maintenance planning.
