An international pharmaceutical company headquartered in Geneva, specializing in vaccines and biologics. The company plays a strategic role in product development, manufacturing oversight, regulatory affairs, supply chain, and product lifecycle management.
Role
As RP Deputy, you will act as the right hand to the Head of Quality. You will be involved in all aspects of Quality Assurance and will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the company's QMS, ensuring compliance with GDP/GMP, managing partnerships with external manufacturers, and supporting product lifecycle activities. You will also deputize for the Responsible Person (RP) when needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage quality complaints, change controls, and deviations
- Contribute to the development and improvement of SOPs, training, KPIs, and internal audits
- Ensure compliance with Swissmedic and EU/US regulations
- Oversee assigned external manufacturers and partners (QTA, audits, change controls, deviations)
- Ensure quality compliance of products manufactured abroad (notably in the U.S.)
- Lead quality workstreams across projects from end to end
- Define and execute quality requirements based on SOPs and applicable regulations
- Support and deputize the Responsible Person when needed
- Participate in inspections, GDP compliance, and product release processes
Profile
- Pharmacist qualification or Master’s degree in pharmaceutical/biological sciences or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of QA experience in the pharmaceutical or biological industry
- Solid understanding of GDP and GMP (EU and U.S.)
- Proven experience working with external manufacturing partners; biologicals required, vaccine experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of Swissmedic regulations and RP responsibilities
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Agile, hands-on, flexible, and capable of thriving in a fast-moving, international, small-team environment
