Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Mechanical Design: Responsible for the mechanical engineering and design of complete converters, energy storage systems, and cooling units for railway and heavy on/off-road applications.

Data Management: Create, maintain, and manage product data within PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.

Validation & Testing: Plan and perform validation tests, focusing particularly on cooling performance and structural strength.

Production Support: Support production during the introduction of new products; contribute to product maintenance and continuous improvement.

Technical Communication: Create technical specifications and clarify technical requirements with suppliers and customers.

Sales Collaboration: Support the sales organization during the concept development and quotation phase.





 

Academic Background: Trained and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a technical school degree (TS), or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Technical Skills: Experience with CAD and ERP systems, ideally Creo and PTC Windchill.

Industry Experience: Preferably experienced in the design of power electronic equipment for rolling stock, automotive, or other vehicle applications. (Applications from early-career professionals and motivated graduates are also welcome).

Interpersonal Skills: Open, collaborative team player with a hands-on, approachable working style and an interest in power electronics.

Language Skills: Solid English skills are required; German is preferred.
