For our client, a global leader in manufacturing solutions and electronic production services, we are seeking an experienced
Quality Engineer
Location: greater Biel/Bienne.
Start Date: January 1, 2026 (An earlier start date is possible and can be discussed).
Duration: 6-month initial contract.
This position is 100% on-site, as no home office is available for this role.
Your Responsibilities
Your core mission is to ensure product and process quality. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond simple inspection and requires active problem-solving and system support.
Developing and managing quality inspection plans.
Investigating and processing error reports and customer complaints.
Driving the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) process.
Providing direct support to the production team to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
Supporting and helping maintain quality systems, particularly Babtec and MES.
Your Profile
We are looking for a practical problem-solver, not just a quality inspector.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is an advantage, but equivalent experience (e.g., 5+ years in a relevant quality role) is also highly valued.
Experience: Demonstrable experience as a Quality Engineer. You must have a background in managing non-conformances, error reports, and corrective actions.
Industry: Experience from a regulated environment (such as automotive, medical devices, or food) is a significant plus.
Language: Fluency in English is required.
Systems: Proficient with standard MS Office applications.
