On behalf of our client, a leading international MedTech company, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior COGS Transformation Consultant for a 6-month project in Zurich.

- Contract: temporary contract via Randstad
- Location: Zurich (Primarily on-site)
- Home office: Limited hybrid work may be agreed
- Workload: 100% (40 hours per week)
Objective:
In this role, you will lead a cross-functional review of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reduction opportunities across 2 NPI programs. The objective is to validate the cost baseline, identify and quantify sustainable opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and develop an actionable roadmap using Total Cost of Ownership and Lean principles. The review will look beyond direct material cost while maintaining product quality, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and supply continuity. You will assess operations support, manufacturing workflows, material and supplier cost drivers, quality activities, yield, and make-versus-buy sourcing strategies.
Your profile:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience driving Operational Excellence and COGS reduction initiatives.
- Proven track record within highly regulated manufacturing environments, with a strong preference for the MedTech or Medical Device industry.
- Deep expertise in Lean principles, Value Stream Mapping, waste elimination, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
- Solid grasp of regulated manufacturing systems and quality standards, specifically ISO 13485.
- Demonstrated ability to translate findings into quantified business cases, prioritized strategic roadmaps, and clear execution plans using a proven end-to-end transformation methodology.
- Hands-on experience executing make-versus-buy assessments, manufacturing simplification, outsourcing strategies, and supplier network optimization.
- Exceptional change management and facilitation skills, with the credibility to partner effectively across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Finance.
