Shaping the Future of Aviation: Data Modeler / Data Architect
Location: Geneva, Switzerland (On-site) OR Fully Remote (from nearby Europe)
Are you a visionary data architect who excels at turning complex ecosystems into elegant, structured frameworks?
At Randstad Digital Switzerland, we connect extraordinary talent with cutting-edge tech initiatives. We are currently looking for a Data Modeler / Data Architect to spearhead the setup and architectural definition phase of a groundbreaking, large-scale aviation platform. This initiative bridges the gap between state-of-the-art AI platforms and core airline systems.
Note: This is a strategic architectural role focused purely on the setup, definition, and blueprinting phase—you will define the models, flows, and caching principles that guide subsequent build and execution phases, rather than implementing them.
? Your MissionYou will ensure that all data across this massive ecosystem is semantically consistent, normalized, and AI-ready. Your core responsibilities will include:
Canonical Modeling: Define a master data model covering offers, orders, services, AI interactions, and identity, ensuring alignment across diverse airline APIs.
Schema Harmonization: Establish data normalization and mapping rules to harmonize disparate aviation-specific schemas into a single consistent representation.
AI & MCP Contracts: Specify AI/Model Context Protocol (MCP) data structures, ensuring AI-generated requests seamlessly translate into structured, deterministic, and consumable aviation API calls.
Architecting the Cache: Design a robust caching architecture—defining what to store (context, responses, metadata), setting lifecycle rules (TTL, refresh, consistency), and balancing performance against data accuracy.
End-to-End Data Flows: Map out the journey of data from initial AI interaction through orchestration layers down to core airline systems.
Governance & Standards: Establish data governance frameworks at a logical level, including metadata management, data lineage, and compliance.
Key Deliverables You Will Own:
Logical and conceptual data models.
Comprehensive data architecture blueprints (AI interactions, caching, and data flows).
API and message data structure definitions.
Detailed data dictionaries, documentation, and industry standard mappings.
To thrive in this role, you should bring a strong architectural mindset and the following expertise:
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in logical and conceptual data modeling.
API & AI Savvy: Strong understanding of API data structures (REST, JSON/XML payloads) and familiarity with AI/MCP interaction models.
Industry Context: Prior experience with aviation or travel industry data standards is a distinct advantage (though similar complex ecosystem experience is welcome).
Tools of the Trade: Proficiency with modern modeling tools (ER tools, UML, or specialized data modeling platforms).
Communication: Exceptional documentation skills with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to both technical teams and stakeholders.
Impact: The chance to define the architectural backbone of a next-generation AI-driven aviation platform.
Flexibility: Work on-site in Geneva or enjoy the true flexibility of a 100% remote setup from nearby Europe.
