In this role, you will operate at the intersection of hardware and software, leading physical and logical integration of mechatronic modules to ensure seamless, reliable performance of complex diagnostic systems.

Tasks & Responsibilities...
Driving System Integration & Integrity: Lead the physical and logical integration of hardware and software modules into cohesive, high-performing diagnostic systems.
Hardware Parametrization & Firmware Interaction: Define critical parameters, configure test software, and parameterize firmware to optimize lifetime reliability and performance.
Robustness & Endurance Testing: Design and set up advanced electromechanical test setups, long-term endurance trials, and reliability tests (targeting MTBF and MTBRV metrics) under real-world conditions.
Data Analysis & Insights: Monitor instrument parameters, track hardware counters, and analyze complex data logs to turn observations into actionable design improvements.
Collaborative Troubleshooting: Perform root-cause analysis on mechatronic issues in collaboration with electronics, mechanics, firmware, and software teams.
R&D & Operations Transfer: Partner with cross-functional teams to transfer validated mechatronic designs to manufacturing and service partners.
Qualifications & Requirements (Must-Haves)
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in HW/SW integration, unit- and system-level testing, or mechatronic troubleshooting.
Technical Toolkit:
Deep understanding of mechatronics (physical interplay between mechanics and electronics) and interaction with firmware/software.
Demonstrated experience in scripting/programming for test execution and automation.
Solid proficiency working in a Linux environment.
Language Skills: Fluent command of English (written and spoken).
Desirable Skills (Nice-to-Haves)
Regulated Industry Experience: Prior background working in MedTech, Diagnostics, IVD, or GxP regulated environments.
Mindset & Innovation: Analytical mindset with an interest in leveraging AI-assisted tools to optimize hardware testing and data analysis.
Additional Languages: German language proficiency is a strong advantage for local collaboration.
