We're looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Nearshore Support Engineer, playing a vital role in maintaining the availability and peak performance of our business-critical systems.

What you'll do:
As a key member of our 3rd level support team, you'll be on the front lines of our operations, ensuring system uptime and optimal performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues, escalating when necessary, and guiding users on new technologies.
- Keeping our operational and technical documentation up-to-date and clear.
- Setting up, monitoring, and resolving issues within complex information systems and critical business events, including conducting recovery exercises with stakeholders.
- Analyzing system and data performance, compiling production activity statistics, and preparing detailed reports to inform decision-making.
- Assisting with user acceptance testing, as well as executing unit, system, and integration tests.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining processes to automate, optimize, and secure our operations schedule, always with an eye on system security and data integrity.
What you'll bring:
We're looking for someone with a strong technical background and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting production environments, especially those running JAVA applications.
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining high-availability systems.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline implementations, particularly for deploying updates and fixes.
- Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems.
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing 3rd-level technical support.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles.
- Experience with configuration management and scripting (e.g., Bash).
- Familiarity with XML data transformation processes.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively share knowledge and train others.
- An excellent command of English is essential.
- Ideally, experience providing application support for services hosted on AWS.
Location & Travel:
This is a nearshore role, and we're seeking candidates located within a +/- 2-hour timezone of Geneva. The ability to travel easily to Switzerland for occasional visits is also required.
