The Research & Development Services team leads the management of R&D laboratories and associated equipment to ensure the safety, compliance and smooth operations of local R&D laboratories.
The Lab Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of our BSL1 and BSL2 laboratories, managing waste collection, and overseeing the stocking of common consumables.
Your Profile:
- Proven experience in a cleaning or laboratory environment, physically fit, and willing to regularly lift heavy waste bins and work with potentially infectious biological material.
- Proficient in both German and English (min B2 level) and demonstrate strong skills in MS Excel and the Google Suite.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Manages, oversees, and executes the following in their assigned BSL1 & BSL2
- Regular cleaning of the BSL1 & BSL2 laboratories according to the hygiene plan
- Waste management, including collection and disposal
- Lab coat management, including adequate supply, collection, and
- cleaning.
- Operation and monitoring of dishwasher, drying furnace, and autoclaves
- Maintaining a stock of common lab consumables
- Pipettes calibration support
- Participates in the on-call services for the CTU excursion
- Dry ice area cleaning
Must Haves:
Willingness to work in the following conditions:
- Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting heavy waste bins
- Regular work with potentially infectious biological material
- German – B2 and English B2 Level
- Proficient with MS Excel and Google suite
Soft Skills:
- Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player, self organized and motivated individual.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Nice to Have:
- Hep B vaccination (Can also be provided by the client)
- Relevant experience in a cleaner or laboratory environment.
