For one of our clients in the Zurich area, we are seeking a Laboratory Engineer to support research, development, and testing activities in the fields of electronics, automotive radar, and optoelectronics. This role has a strong focus on laboratory measurements and prototype construction.

Responsibilities:
Construct and assemble Radar/HF components (e.g., HF Bonding)
Set up and commission prototype systems in the HF/Radar and optoelectronics fields
Verify functionality, troubleshoot, and optimize individual modules and complete systems
Define, execute, and document inspections and tests
Focus on measurements and prototype construction
Automate measurement processes where possible
Skills and Qualifications:
A degree in Engineering or Physics (e.g., High-Frequency Technology, Electrical Engineering, Measurement Technology) or a background as a skilled technician or practitioner with relevant experience
Proven experience in prototype development, hardware rework, and system integration
Experience working in a laboratory environment with equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies
Good knowledge of analogue signal processing
Experience with high-frequency measurement technology (spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, VNA)
Experience with optoelectronics, optical signaling, and automating measurements is highly desirable
Initial experience with optical devices or optical fibers is a plus
Experience in the radar field is beneficial
