At the Basel Drug Substance site, our client produces high-quality pharmaceutical active ingredients in three value streams (Monoclonal Antibody (MAB), Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) and Single Use Technology (SUT)) in order to supply patients worldwide with medicines. The Manufacturing Lab team offers you the opportunity to independently take on varied and challenging tasks in a biological production environment.
Your Profile:
The “perfect candidate” has completed training as a laboratory technician with more than 3 years of experience. Furthermore, the candidate is familiar with working in a GMP environment and is familiar with various PC systems. Ultimately, the person has very good German skills.
Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Support of the state-of-the-art biotechnological active ingredient production in the laboratory area in the Manufacturing Labs chapter
- Operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments
- Support in the development and optimization of process flows
- Material management in the laboratory areas
- Support of the production operations in daily operations and troubleshooting
- Training of laboratory equipment and ensuring laboratory readiness
Must Haves:
- Completed training as a laboratory technician, chemical technician, Pharmaceutical technologist or comparable qualification
- min. 3 years of work experience in a laboratory for biotechnological active ingredient production
- Experience in working in a GMP environment and ideally in the laboratory area or biotech production
- Very good written and spoken German skills
- Very proficient in using PC systems (MS Office, Google Suite applications)
- Ability to understand complex systems and interrelationships and to implement them in practice
- Enjoyment of planning and coordination as well as dealing with documents
- Independence and flexibility are a must
- Willingness to be on call
Nice to haves:
- Knowledge of common laboratory software applications (LIMs and Unilab) and MES is an advantage
